📖 Tool Introduction
The GPA Calculator is an online grade-point conversion tool built for students and anyone preparing graduate-school applications or job materials. It automatically maps the percentage scores commonly used at Chinese universities onto the familiar 4.0 grade-point scale, and then computes the credit-weighted average for you, removing the tedious back-and-forth of looking up a conversion table and multiplying each score by its credit weight by hand. All you do is type each course's credits and percentage score into the table, one row per course; the course name may be left blank, and the points column updates the moment you enter a score. When you click Calculate, the result card shows your weighted GPA in a large headline number, together with your total credits, the number of courses, and a line-by-line breakdown of every course's letter grade and grade points. Whether you are estimating your semester average, double-checking your GPA before a study-abroad application, or assembling ranking documents for graduate school, it produces a result you can copy or download in seconds. The conversion follows the standard Chinese university banding: 90 and above equals 4.0, 85 and above equals 3.7, and so on down to a passing 60 which equals 1.0, while a failing score equals 0. The full ten-band mapping is printed as a row of chips beneath the table so you can verify whether your own school uses the same convention, because conversion scales do differ between institutions and you should always defer to your registrar's official rules. The per-row table also keeps your grades visible as you type, so you can spot a typo before it distorts the average, and the editable layout means a dropped course or a retaken exam can be removed or corrected in seconds rather than starting over.
✨ Key Features
- Add-and-remove score table: one course per row; add rows with the button, delete any row with the x

- Per-course detail and summary: the result area lists total credits, course count and each grade
- One-click copy and download: copy the result into your documents or save it as a file

⚠️ Notes
- Score range: scores must be numbers between 0 and 100; out-of-range rows are skipped
- Positive credits: credits must be greater than zero, otherwise the row is excluded
- Conversion scale: this tool uses the common 4.0 banding; your school's rules may differ, so check the registrar
- Keep one row: clearing down to the last row triggers a reminder so an empty table is never calculated
- Privacy: all scores are computed locally in your browser and never uploaded, so enter real grades safely
