Word to PDF
How to Use
📖 About this tool
Word to PDF converts a .docx document straight into a PDF inside your browser - no Office suite required and no file ever sent to a server. Typical uses include turning a CV into a PDF before it reaches a recruiter so the layout cannot shift, freezing a finished contract into a printable format, or submitting a report in the one format every reviewer accepts. Heading levels and bold runs are preserved, and you can set the paper size, orientation, margins, header, footer, page numbers and a watermark.
Because everything is local, sensitive contracts and unpublished manuscripts can be processed safely. Pages are rendered on a canvas and embedded into the PDF, so Chinese, English and punctuation all come out correctly instead of turning into empty boxes.
✨ Features
- Local conversion - the file never leaves the machine and works offline.
- Structure preserved - Heading 1 to 3 levels and bold runs are recognised, and body images plus tables are rendered.
- Page setup - A4, Letter or A3; portrait or landscape; three margin presets.
- Header and footer - custom text plus page numbers as "1 / N".
- Watermark - optional text watermark with adjustable opacity.
- First page preview - check page one before downloading.
- CJK safe - canvas rendering means Chinese text never becomes boxes.
🚀 How to use
- Click Choose file or drag a .docx onto the dashed area, or load the built-in sample.
- Pick paper, orientation and margins, fill in header and footer text, and tick page numbers or a watermark.
- Press Convert and download PDF; the browser saves the result straight away.
⚠️ Notes
- Only .docx is supported; save legacy .doc files as .docx first.
- Images and tables in the body are now supported: images are embedded at their original aspect ratio, tables are drawn with grid lines and wrap automatically. Header pictures, text boxes and formulas are still not rendered.
- The result is a printable page image, so the text is not selectable or searchable.
- Rendering depends on locally installed fonts; rare glyphs may fall back to a default face.
