Braille Converter
How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
The Braille Converter is a fully offline, instant-use online encoding utility that transcribes Latin letters and Arabic digits into the international Braille Unicode dot characters. Braille is a tactile writing system designed for people with visual impairments, in which every cell is built from six dots arranged in two columns and three rows; the raised dots encode different letters and numbers. This tool ships with the standard Latin Braille mapping table, where a uses dot one alone, b uses dots one and two, c uses dots one and four, and so on through the full set of twenty-six letters and ten digits. The output is produced using the official Unicode Braille block, ranging from U+2800 to U+28FF, so the result can be copied straight into documents, web pages or chat messages that carry a Braille font. Beyond the glyphs themselves, the tool renders a visual dot-matrix table that breaks each cell down character by character, showing exactly which of the six dots are raised, which makes the structure of Braille easy to understand at a glance. A reverse mode is also included: paste any Braille cells back in and they are restored to Latin letters. Every calculation happens locally inside your own browser, so nothing is ever uploaded to a server and your privacy stays protected. The interface follows the site theme and is available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English, working smoothly on both phones and desktops. There is no registration and no installation, and because it runs entirely on your device it also works flawlessly on slow or fully air-gapped connections. Whether you are a teacher preparing tactile learning materials, a developer experimenting with accessible text, or simply curious about how Braille is encoded, the tool turns raw text into readable dot cells in a fraction of a second.

📝 How to Use
- Type the English letters or digits you want to convert into the input box
- The preview area instantly shows the matching Braille cells
- The dot-matrix table below reveals the raised dots for every cell
- To decode, switch to the Braille-to-letter mode and paste the cells
- Use the copy or download button to save the result
⚠️ Notes
- No case distinction: Braille does not distinguish upper and lower case, so both map to the same cell
- Shared digit dots: digits share patterns with letters a through j, so decoding yields those letters
- Punctuation passes through: unknown characters such as punctuation or Chinese are kept as-is
- Font dependent: cells render correctly only when the system has a Braille font installed
- Spaces become blank: a space is converted to the fully empty U+2800 cell
