Lucky Wheel
How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
Lucky Wheel is a free online tool that hands your hardest small decisions to pure chance. When a group cannot agree on where to eat, who goes first in a meeting, whether to have hot pot or barbecue tonight, or how late to sleep in on the weekend, arguing usually takes longer than the choice itself. Instead of going back and forth, let the wheel decide. You can type in as many options as you like, up to twelve, and each one is automatically colored and placed around a circular dial. Click the spin button and the wheel turns with a smooth easing curve for at least five full rotations before stopping at a random slice; the winning option then appears in a centered popup. The landing point is chosen by a random number and computed precisely inside the chosen slice, so the pointer never rests on a divider line and there is never an ambiguous result. Your options are saved automatically in the browser, so you do not have to retype them the next time you open the page. The whole tool runs offline on the frontend, needs no account, and makes no network requests at all, so it spins just as smoothly on a phone as on a desktop. It is designed as a lighthearted decision maker rather than a gambling device, which is why it always shows the result clearly and lets everyone see the animation fairly. It works equally well for dinner choices, team icebreakers, classroom raffles or picking a movie on a lazy night; you can edit the option list right up to the moment you spin, and once a winner appears the result button lets you copy it for a group chat so nobody can argue about the outcome.
✨ Key Features
- Custom options: add or remove options freely, up to twelve, each auto-colored as a slice
- Real spin animation: CSS easing for at least five rounds, landing computed to land inside a slice
- Result popup: the winner appears in a centered card for a sense of ceremony, ready to copy
- Local saving: options persist in browser storage and survive closing the page
- Anti-border design: the pointer stops inside a slice with a safe margin, never on a divider
- One-click example: a typical set of options is built in so the whole flow works instantly
📝 How to Use
- Type an option in the left box, such as milk tea, then click Add or press Enter
- Repeat to add two to twelve options; remove any option with the small X on its row
- Click the Spin button and watch the wheel turn before it slows to a stop
- The popup shows the winning option; click Copy result to keep a record of it
- Click Spin again to close the popup, or Reset to clear all options and start over
⚠️ Notes
- Randomness: results come from a browser random number and are for fun and light decisions only
- Option count: at least two options are required; adding more than twelve shows a hint
- Animation: the wheel spins for about four seconds; avoid spamming the button during it
- Local storage: options live only in this browser and return after you clear site data
- Empty input: clicking Add without typing shows a friendly hint instead of a blank option
