Markdown to PDF
How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
Weekly reports, API docs and reading notes written in Markdown are usually best shared as PDF. This tool typesets Markdown straight into a PDF, keeping heading levels, lists, tables, code blocks and blockquotes intact, with choices for paper, margins, font size and color theme.
Typesetting happens in the browser. The tool parses the block structure first, wraps lines to the paper width, then paints each page on a canvas and converts it to PDF. You can flip through the pages before downloading to check where breaks land, so headings do not end up stranded at the bottom of a page.
A4, Letter and A3 are supported in both orientations, with narrow, normal or wide margins. Body text runs from 9 to 18 points and line height is adjustable. Light, dark and paper themes suit screen reading, night use and printing respectively.
Content is processed locally and never uploaded, so internal reports and unpublished proposals are safe to convert here.
✨ Features
- Parses headings, paragraphs, lists, blockquotes, code blocks, rules and tables.
- Inline bold, italics, inline code and links, with links tinted in the theme accent.
- A4, Letter and A3 paper sizes, in portrait or landscape.
- Three margin presets, body size 9-18pt and adjustable line height.
- Light, dark and paper themes for screen, night and print use.
- Custom header text, with automatic centered page numbers in the footer.
- Flip through pages after generating to check breaks before deciding.
- Line-accurate pagination, so headings are not left alone at a page foot.
- Tables are drawn with even column widths and rules, without Chinese overflow.
- Code blocks use a monospace font on a tinted background for clarity.
- Chinese wraps per character and English per word, so mixed text breaks correctly.
- Fully client-side; document content is never uploaded.

⚠️ Notes
- Images are not rendered:Image references in Markdown are skipped; add illustrations with another tool afterwards.
- Complex tables may overflow:Tables with many columns or long cells are compressed to fit; split them into smaller tables.
- Chinese depends on system fonts:PDF text uses system fonts, so glyphs vary slightly between devices, though never mojibake.
- Text is embedded as images:To keep Chinese glyphs correct, pages are embedded as images, so text is not selectable or searchable.
- Very long documents take time:Typesetting several hundred pages takes a while; wait for the progress bar to finish.
- Nested lists are flattened:Multi-level indented lists are treated as one level; add manual indentation if you need depth.
Supported syntax and rendering
- Covered syntax: headings, paragraphs, bold and italic text, inline code, fenced code blocks, ordered and unordered lists, block quotes, horizontal rules, links and tables.
- CJK text: Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters are drawn with system fonts, so no font embedding step is required and no glyphs go missing.
Privacy and compatibility
- Nothing is uploaded: parsing, pagination and PDF assembly all run inside your browser.
- Layout caveat: pages are rendered as high resolution images inside the PDF, so the text reads and prints correctly but cannot be selected or searched.
