Video Format Converter
Everything runs locally in your browser and nothing is uploaded; large files take a while.
How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
The all format video converter turns common video files into one another inside the browser. There is no ffmpeg to install, no server to upload to and no account to register. Pick the files, choose an output format and its options, press one button, and download the result when it finishes.
Seven output formats are covered: MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, GIF and TS, which between them handle uploading to platforms, embedding in pages, archiving locally and streaming segments. On the input side anything the browser and ffmpeg can demux is accepted, including MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, WMV, 3GP, M4V, MPEG and TS.
The parameters go reasonably deep. Resolution scales across five steps from 2160P down to 480P, or stays untouched. Frame rate offers 24, 25, 30 and 60, or follows the source. Video bitrate ranges from 1M to 8M in four steps, or is left alone. The codec list is matched to the chosen container automatically: MP4 and MOV default to H.264, and WebM offers VP9 and VP8.
Turning and flipping offer three choices: a half turn, a horizontal mirror and a vertical mirror. When phone footage lands upside down on a desktop the half turn sorts it out, and the mirrors fix reversed selfie or screen recordings. Playback speed runs from 0.25x to 4x, so fast forward summaries and slow motion both happen here.
Removing the audio track is a separate switch, useful for muted demo clips and GIF output. Choosing GIF ticks and locks it automatically because GIF carries no sound. Everything happens locally in the browser and the video never leaves your device, which matters for unreleased footage, recordings with faces in them and internal demos.
✨ Key Features
- Seven output formats: MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, GIF and TS for upload, embed, archive and streaming
- Codecs matched per format: H.264, VP9, VP8 and MPEG4, with no impossible combinations offered
- Five resolution steps: from 2160P down to 480P, or keep the original without resampling
- Frame rate and bitrate control: 24, 25, 30 or 60 fps, 1M to 8M bitrate, or follow the source
- Turn, flip and change speed: half turn plus both mirrors, and 0.25x to 4x playback speed
- Batch queue and local processing: drop several files at once, and nothing is ever uploaded
🚀 How to Use
- Click the upload area to choose videos, or drag files in; several at once is fine
- Pick an output format on the right; the codec list updates to what that format supports
- Adjust resolution, frame rate, bitrate, rotation and speed as needed, leaving the rest on keep original
- Tick remove audio for a silent version; choosing GIF ticks and locks it for you
- Press start, wait for the progress bar, then press download in the result area below
⚠️ Things to Note
- Conversion time scales with file size: A few minutes of high bitrate video can take just as long to process, so allow time for the bar
- The engine loads on first use: The engine is about 25 MB and downloads once per page on the first start, then stays cached
- GIF output carries no audio: GIF cannot hold a sound track, so remove audio is locked on when you pick it
- Resolution only scales down: Upscaling adds no real detail; re-export from the original source for higher clarity
- Very large files may run out of memory: Videos above several hundred megabytes can fail in a browser; split or compress them first
