How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
Resume Builder is a free online resume layout tool designed for job seekers and fresh graduates entering the campus recruitment season. When you are hunting for a job, a well-structured, clearly highlighted resume is very often the very first step toward landing an interview, yet many people struggle because they do not know how to lay things out or where to even begin writing. This tool breaks the whole process down into four clean modules: basic information, education, work experience and professional skills. You simply fill in the facts the way you would complete a form, click Generate Resume, and a polished A4-style resume card appears on the right immediately, with a dark banner showing your name and target role at the top, followed by neatly sectioned blocks for your summary, schooling, work history and skill tags. The entire tool runs locally inside your browser, so your name, phone number, email address and current employer are never uploaded to any server, which makes it especially safe to use on a shared office computer or a public kiosk. Everything you type is also cached on your device automatically, and the page restores your draft the next time you open it, so an accidental browser crash halfway through writing costs you nothing. The finished result can be copied as plain text in one click or downloaded as a .txt file, which you can then paste into Word, WPS or any online document for a final round of fine-tuning, saving you hours compared with staring at a blank page.
✨ Key Features
- Modular form: basic info, education, work experience and skills are entered in clearly separated sections
- Dynamic rows: education and experience entries can be added or removed at any time, no matter how many jobs you have held
- Live layout preview: the right-side card shows a dark banner, section headings and skill chips, fully WYSIWYG
- Automatic draft saving: input is cached in your browser and restored automatically after an unexpected close
- One-click copy and download: results can be copied as plain text or saved as a .txt file for pasting into Word
- Built-in realistic example: the Example button fills a complete sample resume so you can feel the layout before entering your own facts
📝 How to Use
- Fill in your name, target role, phone, email and city in the basic info area
- Enter your school, attendance period and major in the education section, adding rows as needed
- Record each job one by one: company, dates, title and key achievements, one per line
- Type your tech stack or strengths in the skills box, separated by commas
- Click Generate Resume, check the layout on the right, then copy or download the plain text
⚠️ Notes
- Privacy first: all data stays in your local browser with no network upload, so real details are safe to enter
- Be truthful: a resume is a formal document for recruiters; years, titles and project numbers should be accurate
- At least one entry: clicking generate on an empty form triggers a friendly prompt instead of a blank result
- Text export: the download is plain text; the colorful card is only for on-screen preview, so import it into a layout tool for sending
- Draft warning: the Clear button also deletes your local draft; copy or download the result first if you want to keep it
