How to Use

📖 What it is

This spreadsheet brings the familiar grid workflow straight into the browser. Open the page and start typing into the cells right away, with text, numbers, dates, percentages and currency all supported. The formula engine ships with dozens of everyday functions, so you can refer to a cell by its address such as A1 just like in a desktop spreadsheet, and reach for SUM, VLOOKUP or IF whenever you need totals, lookups or conditional logic. Every calculation happens locally: type something beginning with an equals sign and the result appears immediately, and when an upstream value changes everything downstream follows along. A finished sheet can be exported as XLSX for further editing, saved as CSV or JSON, or sent to the printer. Nothing is uploaded to any server, the tool keeps working offline, and no account is required. It also ships 117 formula functions plus auto-sum dropdown, cell style gallery, sheet tab colors, CSV import and full-screen editing. It also provides data validation, paste values and paste formats, row grouping with folding, sheet protection, scatter charts, print titles and go-to-special.

✨ What you get

  • A real formula parser with arithmetic, comparison, text concatenation and parentheses, plus 117 functions across maths, statistics, text, logic, lookup, date and conditional aggregation, including cross-sheet references and circular reference detection
  • Formula support for array constants such as =SUM({1,2,3}), =LARGE({10,30,20},2), =INDEX({5,6,7},2) and =TRANSPOSE({1,2;3,4}); semicolons separate rows and commas separate columns. The RANK ascending or descending switch has been corrected
  • Cell formatting with font family, size, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, text colour, fill colour, horizontal and vertical alignment and wrap text, plus number formats for general, integer, two decimals, thousands, percentage, currency and date
  • Row heights and column widths that you drag directly on the header edge, or fit automatically with one click, together with insert and delete for rows and columns, merge and unmerge, and frozen panes that keep heading rows and columns visible while you scroll
  • Sorting by a single column with one click, or a custom sort with several keys and an optional header row, plus a column filter where you tick the values you want to keep and the rest of the rows are hidden
  • Conditional formatting with greater than, less than, equal to, between and data bar rules, which fill matching cells with colour or draw a horizontal bar inside the cell so highs and lows stand out at a glance
  • Charts generated straight from the current selection as column, line, pie or bar, with a title and an option to treat the first row as labels, drawn directly on the page
  • Watermarks accept text or an image, can be tiled or placed on any of nine anchor points, with adjustable colour, size, opacity and angle; apply to the current sheet or to every sheet, and they are included when printing
  • Importing an external XLSX now restores font family, size, text colour, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, cell fill, alignment, wrap, number formats, merged cells and row or column sizes
  • Right-click menus are available on cells (17 items), row headers (9) and column headers (9) for cut, copy, paste, clearing, inserting and deleting rows or columns, merging, sorting and comments
  • The watermark is drawn beneath cell content and honours the opacity setting, so cells stay selectable, editable and sortable
  • Every toolbar button carries a locally drawn icon with a hover tooltip and no external icon library
  • Toolbar buttons and buttons created at runtime are icon only, hovering reveals the name, so the ribbon stays compact without losing usability
  • The right click menu now resolves site level theme variables even though it is rendered outside the plugin root, so background, border, radius, shadow, hover highlight and separators all render correctly
  • The cell, row header and column header menus share one consistent style, and item text colour adapts to light and dark themes

🚀 How to use it

  1. Click a cell in the grid and type. Enter confirms and moves down, Tab moves to the right, Escape throws the entry away, and double clicking an existing cell lets you edit it again
  2. To calculate, select the cell for the result and type a formula starting with an equals sign, for example =SUM(C2:C6). Press Enter and the result appears at once. Use the insert function button to browse every function by category and read what each one does
  3. Select a range and use the Home tab to set font, size, alignment and number format, or simply click the bold, italic and underline icons on the toolbar
  4. To change the layout, use the Cells group to insert rows above or below, insert columns to the left or right, delete the selected rows or columns, and merge or unmerge cells with one click
  5. For data work, use the Data tab to sort records ascending or descending or with a custom sort, filter by column, remove duplicate rows, and find and replace text across the sheet
  6. When you are done, use the File tab to export XLSX, CSV or JSON, or hit print to open the browser print dialog. Page setup lets you switch orientation and adjust the margins
  7. Go to the File tab and choose Watermark, pick text or image, set tiling, position, colour and angle, then decide whether it applies to the current sheet or to all sheets

⚠️ Things to know

  • Cell addresses in formulas are not case sensitive. Reference another sheet as SheetName!A1, and wrap the sheet name in single quotes when it contains spaces
  • A formula that refers to itself or forms a loop shows #CIRC!, division by zero shows #DIV/0!, a failed lookup shows #N/A and an unknown function name shows #NAME?, all of which are the usual spreadsheet error values
  • Importing an XLSX reads cell values, formulas and merged ranges. Font and colour styling is not reproduced item by item, so prefer files exported by this tool when exchanging data
  • Printing opens the browser print dialog. Choose save as PDF in that dialog to produce a PDF file, and set the margins and orientation from page setup beforehand
  • Everything lives in the current browser tab. Refreshing or closing the tab discards the sheet, so export anything important before you leave
