Vote Results Chart
How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
Vote Results Chart is a free online tool built for class meetings, team events, small-group decisions and online polls, so you can turn a list of options and their vote counts into a clean horizontal bar chart without opening any dedicated charting software. You type each option name and its tally into a row, or simply tap the plus-one button beside a row to simulate a live count: every tap adds one vote, which is perfect for recording votes as they come in. Once you click build chart, the tool totals all votes and lays out horizontal bars from the highest tally down, each showing the option name, the number of votes and its percentage share, so the winner is obvious at a glance. The result can also be copied as plain text or downloaded, ready to post into a group chat for transparency. The whole process runs locally in your browser and depends on no network service, which makes it handy at an event with poor connectivity or whenever the ballots themselves should stay private. There is no sign-up and no learning curve: add a row, type a name, tap plus one a few times, and the chart appears. Because every figure is computed on the fly, you can keep adjusting tallies and rebuilding the chart as the count evolves during a real ballot, and the bars always reflect the latest numbers without any page reload. The tool is equally handy for a quick straw poll in a meeting, a class voting exercise, a preference survey, or any decision where you want a transparent, instantly shareable breakdown of where the votes actually went. Since no result leaves your device, even internal or sensitive ballots can be tallied here with complete peace of mind.
✨ Key Features
- Dynamic option rows: add or remove options at any time as the ballot list grows
- Plus-one tallying: tap +1 to count votes one by one, mimicking a live count
- Horizontal bars: sorted by votes descending, with bar lengths showing the gap
- Automatic shares: each bar shows both votes and percentage to one decimal place
- Total summary: the total number of votes is shown at the top
- Copy and download: export the result as plain text for posting and archiving
📝 How to Use
- Type an option name in a row and enter or tap +1 to set its votes
- Add more rows with the add button, and delete rows you no longer need
- Once at least two named options exist, click Build chart
- Read the bars and shares; tweak the tallies and rebuild if needed
- Copy the result or download it, then post the text into your group chat
⚠️ Notes
- Valid options: at least two named options are needed; unnamed rows are skipped
- Zero total: if every vote is zero you are prompted to enter tallies first
- Vote range: votes are treated as non-negative integers; blanks or bad values count as zero
- Fully local: all tallying happens in the browser and no ballot data is uploaded
- Sort order: the chart re-sorts from highest to lowest and ignores entry order
