Build your Ebbinghaus review plan

Following the classic Ebbinghaus curve, reviews are scheduled on days 1, 2, 4, 7, 15 and 30.

How to Use

📖 Tool Introduction

Memory Curve Planner is a completely free, offline scheduling tool that turns the famous Ebbinghaus forgetting curve into a calendar you can actually follow. The German psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus showed through careful experiments that freshly learned material is mostly forgotten within a single day, but that each time you revisit it right before the forgetting point, the memory is reinforced a little more firmly until it settles into long-term retention. This tool takes the guesswork out of that question of when to review: you pick the day you first study a new chunk of material, and it automatically lays out six review rounds on days 1, 2, 4, 7, 15 and 30, converting each interval into a concrete calendar date so you never have to count days on a desk calendar yourself. You may also attach a short name for the material, such as Unit Three vocabulary, and the table then shows exactly how far each round sits from today, whether it is due today, already overdue, or still weeks away, with rows approaching their review date highlighted in orange for a quick glance. Once you finish a round, tick the checkbox and the row dims, giving you a simple visual sense of how the plan is progressing. The whole schedule can be copied as plain text or downloaded as a file, which makes it easy to paste into a phone notes app, a digital calendar, or a study wall chart. It suits vocabulary building, exam preparation, professional certification study, and revisiting textbook chapters, and because every date is computed on the spot inside your browser, it works fully offline, requires no account, and never uploads your study plans anywhere, which keeps even sensitive revision timetables entirely private and under your own control.

⚠️ Notes

  • Base date: review days are counted from the study day, so enter it honestly
  • Consistency matters: spaced review works only if you actually show up, catch up missed rounds soon
  • Overdue rounds: past rounds are greyed while due-today rows glow orange
  • Local math: every date is calculated in your browser, offline and private
  • Adjustable rhythm: 1/2/4/7/15/30 is a common default, tune it to your own memory pace
