How to Use

📖 Tool Introduction

Generate test data in bulk for development and demonstrations: Chinese names, phone numbers, email addresses, ID numbers, delivery addresses, company names, dates, UUIDs and English placeholder text.

Building a form, preparing a demonstration or load testing something means needing a lot of content that looks like real content. Typing out twenty names by hand is slow and they start to look alike after the fifth one, while using actual customer data brings a compliance problem that is not worth having for a demo. A generator sits in exactly that gap.

The ID numbers are assembled following the structure of the real identifier: an address code, a date of birth, a sequence number, and a final check character drawn at random. That is enough for the value to pass a format check, which is what form validation tests actually need. It is worth being blunt about what that does not mean: these are random strings that follow a shape, they do not correspond to any real person, and using them anywhere an actual identity is required would be a serious mistake rather than a shortcut.

Phone numbers use prefixes that are genuinely allocated, followed by random digits, and addresses and company names are assembled from realistic parts in the same way. UUIDs follow the standard layout, with the version nibble fixed at four so that the result is a well-formed version four identifier rather than merely a string of the right length.

A single run is capped at five hundred entries, which keeps the page responsive, and everything is produced in the browser with no network access and nothing uploaded.

Volume matters more than variety for most of what this is used for. A form that looks fine with five rows is a different thing with five thousand, and that is when you find out whether the list virtualises, whether the pager overflows and whether the export still completes. Generating the rows is the cheap part of that test, which is the argument for having it take one click. One thing is deliberately absent: there is no seed, so two runs never produce the same rows. That is the right default for filling a screen, and it is why anything that needs reproducibility, such as a fixture committed alongside a test, should be generated once and then saved rather than regenerated each time.

✨ Key Features

  • Nine kinds of data: names, phones, emails, ID numbers, addresses, companies, dates, UUIDs and placeholder text
  • Bulk generation, up to five hundred at a time
  • ID numbers follow the real structure and pass format checks
  • Phone numbers use prefixes that are actually allocated
  • UUIDs generated to the standard layout
  • Runs locally: no network, nothing uploaded

🚀 How to Use

  1. Enter how many to generate on the left
  2. Pick the data type on the right
  3. Press process, or use Ctrl plus Enter
  4. The result box shows one entry per line
  5. Copy result puts the whole batch on your clipboard

⚠️ Things to Note

  • Data source: Assembled at random following the format rules of each data type; everything is generated locally
  • These are not real people: The names, phone numbers and ID numbers are random and do not refer to anyone
  • ID numbers pass format checks only: The structure is valid for testing forms; never use them where a real identity is needed
  • Every run differs: Data is generated randomly, so running it again gives different results
  • Privacy: Everything is generated in the browser, with no network access and nothing uploaded
