📖 About this tool

The length of a title and description decides whether a search result displays in full: too short wastes space, too long gets truncated. This tool checks against the usual thresholds for five scenarios — Google desktop, mobile search, Baidu, Bing and social sharing — showing the current length as a progress bar with a Good, Borderline or Over-limit verdict. Alongside the character count it reports byte count and an Arial-estimated pixel width: a Chinese character takes two bytes, and engines truncate closer to pixel width than character count, so all three matter. Provide target keywords and the tool checks whether they appear in the title, listing any that are missing. Everything runs locally. Typical uses include a final length check before publishing, auditing titles across many pages, deciding whether an old description needs rewriting, and explaining to content colleagues why a given description will be cut off.
