How to Use

📖 Tool Introduction

The online PDF viewer puts reading, annotating and light editing into a single interface. Open a local PDF and you can page through it, zoom, follow its outline, mark up the pages, then export a new file. It is not merely an image viewer, and it does not try to replace desktop Acrobat. It covers the handful of things people actually do every day: look at a document briefly, mark the important parts, drop a stray page, put the order right, then send it on or print it.

The reading side offers a sidebar that switches between thumbnails and the document outline. Thumbnails give you the whole document at a glance, while the outline is the fast way to jump around a long report. The toolbar handles previous and next page, direct page number entry, step zoom, and a one-click fit to the container width. Rendering is done by a local engine, so the file is never uploaded, which matters a great deal for contracts, tenders and internal material.

Nine annotation tools are provided. Highlight, underline and strikethrough work against the text layer by drag selection, so you hit real words rather than empty space. The note and text tools let you click anywhere on the page and type. Pen, rectangle and arrow are there for freehand marking. Six colours are available. Every annotation is drawn on a separate overlay that sits above the page, so the underlying content is untouched and you can keep adding or start over at any time.

Page-level editing lives in the thumbnail sidebar. Any page can be rotated ninety degrees clockwise on its own, or marked for deletion. Pages marked for deletion grey out, and clearing the mark brings them back. Rotation and deletion are recorded in memory only, so the source file is never modified, and what you finally get is determined by the arrangement at export time.

On export the tool copies the surviving pages in order, applies each page rotation, draws the annotations onto the matching pages by coordinate, and writes a brand-new PDF. Text annotations are rasterised before embedding, which is why Chinese, Japanese and unusual symbols never hit the failure that standard PDF fonts have with non-Latin text. Printing renders the surviving pages as high-resolution images and hands them to the browser print dialog, where you can pick a printer or save as PDF.

✨ Key Features

  • Local rendering: the file is read into browser memory only, never uploaded and never written to local storage
  • Thumbnails and outline: switch between two panes, jump by heading level, and page or zoom to find your place fast
  • Text-level annotation: highlight, underline and strikethrough hit the text layer, so they land on real words
  • Freehand marking: pen, rectangle, arrow and text notes in six colours, drawn on a separate overlay
  • Page editing: rotate any page ninety degrees, mark pages for deletion and reorder them at export
  • Export and print: page changes and annotations are written into a new PDF with CJK text embedded as images, or sent straight to the print dialog

🚀 How to Use

  1. Pick a PDF in the upload area on the left or drag it in; the document opens and thumbnails render automatically
  2. Use the toolbar to page, zoom or fit to width, or type a number straight into the page box to jump
  3. Choose an annotation tool and a colour in the upper right, then drag or click on the page to add marks
  4. To adjust pages, switch to the thumbnail pane and use the rotate or delete button on each page
  5. Press save to build a new file and download it in the result area; press print when you need paper

⚠️ Things to Note

  • The original file stays unchanged: Rotation and deletion live in memory only, so the export decides the final result
  • Scanned pages cannot be annotated this way: Highlight, underline and strikethrough depend on the text layer, so they miss pages that are pure images
  • Exported marks cannot be removed: Annotations are drawn into the page content and cannot be peeled off afterwards
  • Printing needs pop-ups allowed: Printing relies on a browser pop-up window, so allow pop-ups for this page if it gets blocked
  • Large documents take longer: Documents with very many pages or very large pages render and export slowly; wait for the progress bar
