Online Piano

How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
The Online Piano is a completely free, instant-response virtual keyboard that runs in your browser, great for music first steps, quick improvisation, melody sketching and casual rhythm games. It faithfully reproduces the layout of two octaves from C4 to B5: fourteen white keys arranged in the familiar C-to-B pattern, with ten black keys placed in the standard five-per-octave grouping, so every sharp and flat sits exactly where it would on a real piano. Each note is synthesized live by a Web Audio oscillator using exact equal-temperament frequencies, and a short attack plus a smooth release envelope shapes the sound so it feels like pressing a real key, with no sampled audio files to load. You can play by clicking keys with the mouse, or by typing on your computer keyboard: the white keys map to A S D F G H J K L semicolon Z X C V, and the black keys map to W E T Y U O P [ ] backslash, letting both hands span two octaves naturally. Four timbres are available, soft triangle, pure sine, electronic square and bright sawtooth, and a volume slider keeps the listening level comfortable. The Play demo button runs an ascending C major scale automatically so you can quickly anchor your ears to the pitch reference. Because every note is generated locally, the instrument works offline, starts the moment you touch a key, and on phones and tablets you can simply tap the keys, which makes it a light, delightful companion for doodling melodies or training sight-singing whenever an idea strikes, without carrying a real keyboard or installing any application. Because each voice is a pure oscillator with a shaped envelope rather than a recorded sample, two notes can ring out together without buffer limits, so you can hold simple chords and even slow arpeggios to hear basic harmony in action. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no track record to upload, so you can open the page on any machine and immediately try a favorite tune or improvise a new one.
