📖 Tool Introduction

Polaroid Frame is an in-browser studio that dresses an ordinary snapshot up as a vintage instant-photo print, made for journal spreads, film-style feeds and keepsake cards. After you upload a picture, the tool draws a sheet of white photographic paper according to your parameters: adjustable white borders run around all four sides, the photo sits centered inside them, and a bottom band of customizable height hosts a note set in an italic handwriting face so you can leave a date or a quiet feeling word. The whole sheet can be tilted up to eight degrees either way, like a snapshot casually placed on a desk, and a soft drop shadow makes the paper look lifted off the surface. Three backdrops are offered — transparent, dark gray and cream. With a transparent backdrop the finished card drops straight into a journal page, while the dark gray background flatters the layered thickness of the white border more than any other choice. The export canvas automatically expands to the true rotated bounding box, so the shadow never gets clipped at the edges. Because every composite happens in local memory, personal vacation and family photos never leave the device, and the interface switches automatically between Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English while following the site theme on desktop and phone. Think about where these cards end up: a spread in a digital journal, a grid on a film-style social feed, a printable keepsake for a holiday album, or a gift tag assembled around a family photo. The parameters are tuned so the defaults already look good — a thirty-six pixel border, a ninety-pixel note strip, a minus three degree tilt — and fine-tuning is one slider away. The handwriting band renders the note in an italic cursive face whose size follows the band height, so long notes and short dates both sit comfortably. The shadow toggle, borrowed from real paper lying on a desk, adds a soft offset blur that sells the floating effect; on a dark background it reads as depth, on a transparent one it lets the card lift off a colorful page. The export canvas is measured around the rotated frame, so neither the shadow nor the corners are clipped, and every adjustment repaints within milliseconds — the whole composition stays yours, tweaked to the exact mood before you export.

⚠️ Notes

  • Zero band: with the band at zero you get a border-only print, no note strip
  • Handwriting font: it relies on system handwriting faces, so it looks slightly different on each device
  • Export size: the canvas expands to the rotated bounding box so the shadow stays intact
  • Working size: photos are scaled to a 1200px long edge before compositing
  • Original stays safe: all compositing happens in memory, the local file is untouched
