Essay Outline Builder
How to Use
📖 Tool Introduction
The Essay Outline Builder is an offline writing scaffold designed for secondary school students and exam candidates. Plenty of writers stare at a blank page not because their language is weak, but because they never built the skeleton before touching the pen. The tool keeps the workflow bluntly simple: you type a topic, such as persistence, companionship, or technology and daily life, pick a genre between argumentative, narrative and expository, and instantly receive a three-part outline card. The introduction section suggests opening with an observation or a question and stating the thesis; the body section expands your chosen two or three points along paths such as why, how and counter-argument, or cause, development and climax; the conclusion section reminds you to gather the threads and lift the theme one notch. The outline is only a skeleton, and you still have to supply the evidence and detail that make a paragraph live, but with this map in hand the essay no longer drifts off topic or stalls halfway. Everything runs locally in your browser, and the interface follows your language automatically, so the same tool works equally well at a desk, on a phone or during a quick pre-exam rehearsal. Planning an outline first reliably cuts total writing time by preventing the most common failure: starting with a blank page and discovering half way through that the argument has no spine. Because the template forces an explicit claim, a supporting reason and a restated thesis for every section, weak essays built on vague generalisations become visible before you waste two paragraphs on them, and swapping the genre selector lets you rehearse the same topic in the style an exam actually asks for. You can regenerate the outline as often as the topic evolves, which makes drafting a low-pressure loop rather than a single high-stakes leap.
✨ Key Features
- Three genres supported: argumentative, narrative and expository each follow their own outline logic
- Clear three-part layout: intro, body and conclusion shown in colour-coded cards
- Two or three body points, matching shorter or longer essay requirements
- Embedded evidence tips telling you which supporting device suits each point
- Copy or export the outline to keep it in your notebook or revise it later
- Fully offline: all template assembly happens in the browser and the topic never uploads
📝 How to Use
- Type the essay topic into the input box
- Choose a genre: argumentative, narrative or expository
- Choose the number of body points (two or three)
- Tap Generate and read the expansion paths inside the three-part cards
- Fill evidence and detail along the outline, then copy or export it afterwards
⚠️ Notes
- Scaffold by design: the outline supports thinking but does not replace it; swap in real evidence while drafting
- Topic length: keep the topic under twenty characters for the best fit
- Genre matters: a wrong genre bends the whole outline, so confirm the prompt before writing
- Fully local: no network requests, and your typed topic never leaves the device
- Balance: opening about one tenth, body about seven tenths, ending about two tenths
